How did you come up with the name, Relaxing Shadow? Randomly!
Does Relaxing Shadow mean anything? yes, i have ADHD and Social Anxiety. So when im around people im very Relaxed, but give me a drink and im back to my "cant sit still, fidgetty" self. Shadow has deeper meaning...and pretty much describes me and who i was for years. Its a rather sad story, and i think i covered it in a video once, if not, its probbly for the best that it stays in the shadows.
When did you start YouTube? 2012, a channel called rickstir 101. The channel was deleted and all videos lost, saddly. There were many videos thats quality was good enough to make me want to show them to the world again. Only one video from those times exsists on my perssonal Facebook page, and its a bad video. I cringe if i try to watch it.
Why did you delete your first channel and make a new one? I didnt mean too, really. It was around the time Google+ intagrated with YouTube, my channels name was switched to my real name and i didnt want that. I was, at the time, going to try to rebrand it to R.P.G(Ricky Plays Games) but it wouldnt let me. So fiddleing around i wound up deleteing my channel when i thought i was deleting my Google+ page. I had about a hour of grief untill i created the current channel, as i was starting to ride the waves of views flowing in for my Quest For level 80 Series. I just took the hit, let people know i had a new channel and carried on!
Why were your videos so shitty if you had been doing this for awhile? My videos on my older channel were not the same quality as the first videos on the current channel. Beleive it or not they were better! The problem was i was recording in very old games, so i could set my recording software to run better. But WoW was a diffrent breed.
How could you not record WoW!? Were you running a toaster!? Close! Only mine didnt toast the bread, just warmed it... i recorded my early videos on a Compaq Persario CQ57. A laptop. A cheap, shitty laptop from walmart. Had to start somwhere right?

What inspired you to start YouTube? Back in the day i used to watch a YouTuber play Animal Crossing City Folk every day. The series started off as a simple LetsPlay style and morphed into a kind of vlog. I wanted to try it out. It looked like a lot of fun to do. I just wanted to talk to people, share my thoughts, but also play some video games. Talk about that game with fans of the game. Do stuff with them.
What happened to the Guild you ran on Dalaran-WoW? Saddly it died. I had plans to bring it back, but it just didnt work out.
Is your channel a WoW channel? No! I just play so much WoW that i might as well record stuff in it. I dont have a set game or series that revolves around my channel.
Is Purple your favorite color or somthing? Yeah! Black and Purple.
Is your favorite number 3? Why do you mention it so much... Yes it is. I find it interesting that i have a favorite number, not many people do. Why would someone! Its just a odd thing to have thought about, and decided upon. But 3 is a number i like, a lot. Not sure why.
Are you a Weeb? I dont think so. I have a facination with asian culture but wouldnt call myself a Weeb. I have watched my fair share of anime, but not a whole lot. Not the typical ones either! I never watched the popular animes like Naruto, or One Piece. My first anime, not counting Pokemon when i was a kid, was Neon Genesis Evangelion. I love asian food, their arcatexture, everything.
Do you have a favorite anime? Yes, Clannad and Clannad After Story. I cried like a baby, and i loved every second of it! Dont judge me damnit!
I want to follow you on Facebook/Twitter/Reddit/Steam but dont have one! Not a problem, i try to make sure each post is shared across all platforms. There are some times when thats just not possable. So i try to use each platform for diffrent reasons. Twitter is great for quick updates or connecting with me. Facebook is used as a all purpose page, im not a huge fan of FB even though i use it all the time. Reddit is for longer updates or topics and is a great place to ask question or talk about epiosdes with me. Steam only gets video posts if the game thats been filmed in is on Steam, as well as you can Friend me and play some games with me!
